The Daltoniens (‘ colour blind ’ in their native French language) have been performing not only in theatres and schools but also in many street theatre and hip hop festivals. This, and their versatility mean that they are perfect for a family audience as well as for young people. They mix digital graph, mask, hip-hop dance, acting and vocals. They already boast a total of 200 performances in front of 30 000 people and 8 000 000 views on YouTube. Due to their commitment in community networks, The Daltoniens generate enthusiasm in the way they take over and divert complex technological tools such as ‘ motion capture ’ for digital graph and the creation of ‘ sound loops ’ in human beatbox.
Their show TAG was funded by the ‘ digital art ’ department of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, for the creative research into motion capture which lead to the creation of live ‘ digital graffiti ’.
